Sustainable development is “development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs” according to the definition of the UN Brundtland report from 1987. Sustainable business has an environmental background.
Flexpak is very much aware of the consequences for the environment in relation to plastics. With its own regeneration line within the OPACK group, unprinted foil can be recycled and reformed into polyethylene granules. These granules are then used to produce foil. Within the OPACK group, not a single granule goes to waste; the environment is therefore less burdened and production costs are reduced! All of the companies of Oerlemans Packaging use green energy.
