Flexpak Transparant Verpakkingsindustrie BV was founded in 1977. Everything started in a small production room, with a four-colour printing press with cutting zone and a bag machine, where printed discs and bags were produced for the biscuit and sweets industry. The company expanded rapidly and activities were extended.

In 1981, Flexpak BV relocated to larger premises and invested over the subsequent years in bag machines, cutting machines, four-colour printing presses and six-colour printing presses. Production not only included discs and bags, a significant development was the fact that printed foils could also be supplied to the customer on rolls.

Flexpak BV grew substantially and the site became too small for Flexpak BV so in 1983 a huge extension was built. At the end of the 1980s, production was expended to include a laminating machine. This important innovation developed to become one of Flexpak BV’s specialities.

In 1995, work started on the construction of a new company building with office space. This was taken into operation in 1997. Flexpak BV continued to develop, and in 1999 production began on block-base bags.

As of 1 May 2016, Flexpak BV joined forces with the OPACKGROUP.
